You see a newspaper ad about a house-sitting job. Since you're short on money, you decide to sign up. What awaits you...
Did I mention that the house you'll be staying at has the latest home automation systems of the 80s!? Now you know! Simply clap twice in any room in the house to toggle the lights on/off. We sure are lucky that there are no entities around that can take advantage of this.
Immerse yourself in the environment with amnesia-like physical interactions, volumetric audio and PS1 style graphics.
It ain't much, but it's honest work.
I suggest you don't go snooping around too much, it's for your own good.

One of the best indie horror games i have ever played! Jumpscares got me good heard there is other endings and i think i got the good one. Watch my playthrough :)

I AM ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY, AND THIS IS YOUR FIRST GAME!!! THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST TERRYFYING GAMES I HAVE EVER PLAYED, THIS IS SO IMPRESSIVE FOR A FIRST GAME I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE, YOU DID ONE HELLA OF A JOB.
I loved it. I am out of words and for it to be your first indie game I am astonished with the work that you have put in. I love the check point mech so much, the suspense leading up was fantastic, and the ending wrapped up the short story. I am looking forward for more Nightmare Files titles!(The only issue the game had was the door system. It was nice touch to have them shut adding to the effect of a creepy house but could have gone through without it.) Keep up the work <3

Um, pardon me but i have found a glitch in the game and the glitch that i am talking about is that when i go to sleep with the food i wake up and i can move whil being in the bed and when i fell off the bed it told me to get up, i got up and i was teleported outside of the house and it did not let me enter to figure out what was going on, sorry for the trouble, him1967.
sheesh, i really enjoyed this one! creeped me out and i love the lore and context put into it! would love to see more style of horror games from you in the future! (it's the 2nd game i played in this video

This games feels like just the right blend of spooky and goofy. I would say it is down right SPOOPY! I would like to know why the monster likes rubber ducks though... Besides that I really enjoyed this. Great job dude!

I really enjoyed playing this game! I love the mechanics with the lights and how almost everything is movable with gravity. Also, the monster got me pretty good the first time he jumpscared me. Pretty good game!

Ves un anuncio en el periódico sobre un trabajo de cuidador de casas. Como no tienes mucho dinero, decides apuntarte. ¿Qué te espera? ¿Mencioné que la casa en la que te alojarás tiene los últimos sistemas de automatización del hogar de los años 80? ¡Ahora ya lo sabes! Simplemente aplaude dos veces en cualquier habitación de la casa para encender o apagar las luces. Tenemos suerte de que no haya entidades cerca que puedan aprovecharse de esto.

Amazing game, honestly pretty scary because of the original gameplay. Played it with an harmonica so it was REALLY fun haha
